Admission Notification

Once you have filed your application, you may ask, "When will I hear about my admission?" The first notification you will receive is an acknowledgement of your application from each CSU campus where you filed your application. Following this, the information you receive from the campus will vary depending on how the campus processes your application.

The next communication you receive from the campus may be a request for any application supporting documents. Be sure to read and comply with this request. Providing application supporting documents when the campus requests them will expedite the processing of your application. In some cases, there are deadlines for the campus' receipt of requested documents. When these deadlines are not met, admission applications are subject to cancellation.

Some campuses will admit you based on the information you provided in your application and then ask for confirming application supporting documents. If a campus requires your file to be completed before making an admission decision, it may be several months before you learn whether you are admitted or denied. Campuses that follow this processing track frequently have more applications than they can accommodate so they review all official application supporting documents.

It is the intention of each CSU campus to communicate admission decisions to applicants as soon as possible.
